Employees of Verizon Wireless (the “Sponsor”), McGarry Bowen, Samsung, Don Jagoda Associates, Inc., their respective parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, agents, and advertising, promotional and judging agencies (collectively “Sponsor and its Parties”) and the immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, and siblings and their spouses) and household members of each are not eligible to participate or win.
How to Enter: To enter the Giveaway, visit www.twitter.com and follow @VerizonWireless. Then follow the steps below during each Entry Period:

Entries must be in English. For any photos submitted, you, as entrant must be the only person depicted in photo. Any Tweet or portion thereof that, in the Sponsor’s sole discretion, is obscene, profane, lewd or defamatory; contains any third party materials, or otherwise displays, violates or infringes (or may infringe) any copyright, trademark, logo, mark that identifies a brand (other than Sponsor) or other proprietary right of any person living or deceased (including but not limited to rights of privacy or publicity or portrayal in a false light) or entity; includes anti-social, political or religious groups, a commercial solicitation or address, phone number, or URL address; is otherwise objectionable; or does not meet the Tweet requirements outlined in these Official Rules will not be considered and may disqualify the Tweet. If you do not have a Twitter account, you may create one, by visiting www.Twitter.com. Creation of multiple Twitter accounts in order to enter the Giveaway will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to set up the Twitter account will be deemed to be the entrant. Potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder of the email address/Twitter account associated with the entry. Entrants and winners acknowledge and agree that their Tweets become the property of the Sponsor, which thereby has the right to edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, promote and otherwise use Tweets/entries in any way it sees fit. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your Internet service provider may apply. Entries must be received by 11:59:59 pm ET each day during the Giveaway Period based upon the time Twitter displays as the time at which it received each Tweet on each day to be included in that corresponding Entry Period's drawing. Any user who, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, posts profanity, pornography or other objectionable content on Twitter may be removed by Sponsor from being an @VerizonWireless follower and from participating in the Giveaway.
Random Drawings: Daily Prize Winners will be selected in each of four (4) separate random drawings, one for each Entry Period, from among all eligible entries received during each daily Entry Period. Entries will not be carried forward for any subsequent drawings. Drawings will take place on or about January 31, 2012. Odds of winning will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received during each Entry Period. Drawings will be conducted by Don Jagoda Associates, Inc. an independent judging organization whose decisions will be final on all matters relating to this Giveaway.

Wireless service is not included with Device. The total ARV of all prizes to be awarded in the Giveaway is $10,399.84. Winners will be solely responsible for Device activation charge, monthly access, data and service fees (if applicable), and all federal, state, and local taxes on prizes, and all other expenses related to the acceptance or use of any prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any fees, costs or additional charges resulting from the use of the prize. Winners of the prizes must have valid U.S. mailing addresses. Prizes cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes or outside the U.S. Prizes are awarded “as is.” The ARV of the prize listed is subject to price fluctuations in the consumer marketplace based on, among other things, any gap in time between the date the ARV is estimated for purposes of these Official Rules, and the date the prize is awarded or redeemed. If the actual purchase price of any prize is less than the ARV stated herein, the prize winner will NOT be entitled to a check, cash or other form of payment for the price difference. Any and all warranties and/or guarantees on the prize (if any) shall be subject to the manufacturer’s terms. Winners agree to look solely to such manufacturer for any such warranty and/or guarantee.
Limit one (1) prize per person/household during the Giveaway Period.
Winner Notification: Winners will be notified by direct message via Twitter on or about January 31, 2012 and confirmed by email. If a winner cannot be reached by direct message within 48 hours of first notification attempt, an alternate winner may be selected. Potential winners (or parent or legal guardian if potential winner is a minor in his/her state) will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and where legal, a Publicity Release within ten (10) days of notification attempt. Noncompliance within this time period will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be determined. Affidavit will be sent via email and must be returned via email/fax and the original must be sent via mail. If winner fails to comply with the above timeframe, if any prize or prize notification is returned as non-deliverable, or if winner rejects his/her prize or in the event of noncompliance with these Official Rules, such prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. Upon prize forfeiture, no compensation will be awarded. Decisions of judges are final with respect to all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Prize awards are subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. Prizes will be shipped to the addresses included on the affidavits within 4-6 weeks of winner verification.
General Rules: No substitution or transfer of prize permitted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event the prize is unavailable. By participating in the Giveaway, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor. All material submitted becomes the sole property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission to the Sponsor and their agencies to use winner’s name, biographical information, pictures/portraits, likeness, Tweet(s) and/or voice, for purposes of advertising, trade, and promotions without further, notice, compensation, or permission, except where prohibited by law. By accepting a prize, winner agrees to release, indemnify and hold Sponsor, its parents, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and assigns, and Twitter harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of participation in this Giveaway or use of prize. Winner assumes all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Giveaway or use or redemption of prize. By participating in this Giveaway, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judges. Sponsor is not responsible for technical hardware/software failures of any kind, lost/unavailable network connections, or failed/incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission, which may limit a user’s ability to participate. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel/modify the Giveaway or disqualify entrant if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the Giveaway as determined solely by Sponsor. In the event of termination, a notice will be posted and a random drawing will be held from all eligible entries received during each Entry Period prior to the time of termination. Attempt by an individual to deliberately damage web site or undermine legitimate operation of Giveaway is a violation of criminal/civil laws and should such attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such individual to the fullest extent of the law. In the event of a dispute, entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted and any damage made to web site will be responsibility of same. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical/other error in printing of offer/Giveaway administration/prize announcement or for any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participation in, accessing or downloading information in connection with this Giveaway. As a condition of participating in the Giveaway, participant agrees that: 1) under no circumstance will participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, consequential or any other damages, other than for out-of-pocket expenses; 2) all causes of action arising out of or connected with the Giveaway or the prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and 3) any and all claims, judgments, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event attorneys’ fees.
